Women’s Competitive Teams at NGA Regional Championships
The first weekend in May, our women’s competitive team was in California competing at the NGA (National Gymnastics Association) Regional Championships. As you may know, our women’s team competes both in the USAG Xcel program, and also under the NGA program in order to receive a well-rounded experience.
NGA competitions are a great time and allow us to travel a little further afield!
COLUMBIA CITY
Coach Hailey: “Our NGA team traveled to Pleasanton, CA over the weekend and had an outstanding performance. The team showed their resilience and determination by staying head strong throughout the competition. We had many individual successes, with many gymnasts scoring personal bests on event scores. I couldn’t be more proud of the platinum and diamond teams for queening out and bringing home first and second team place! Now we’re back in the gym working hard to get our routines ready to perform at Nationals in Virginia Beach!”

LAKE CITY
Coach Misa: “Congratulations to all of the gymnasts that competed at NGA Regionals in Pleasanton, CA! Everyone qualified for Nationals in June, held in Virginia Beach, VA!
Daniella and Reeve, in Level 2, compete in their first ever Regional meet! Both gymnasts scored their highest all-around score of the season and performed fantastic routines on all four events! Congratulations Daniella and Reeve! We are so proud of you!!
In Level 3, Anya, Evie, Maja, Nadia, and Tonalhi had an amazing meet; from everyone hitting their 10.0 start value on beam, stuck dismounts, and season high scores, we saw it all! Big high fives for Evie and Maja for placing top 10 and receiving medals! Also earning medals, Tonalhi placed 2nd on bars and 3rd on beam! Way to go Level 3’s!
A big round of applause for Sarah in Diamond placing 2nd All-Around, helping SGA’s Diamond team to also place 2nd alongside Ballard’s Mia and Columbia City’s Izzy! Sarah was also selected to represent the Western Region at Nationals!
Now time to work hard on cleaning up a few things for Nationals!”
