Steven Strobis joins Arkansas as strength and conditioning coach

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas track and field has hired Steven Strobis as strength and conditioning coach for the men’s and women’s programs.

Strobis was previously an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Kentucky, where he worked with the Wildcats track and field, cross country, tennis, and cheerleading programs in a full-time capacity since March 2023.

He joined the University of Kentucky’s strength and conditioning staff in the summer of 2019. Following his summer internship, Strobis moved into a paid assistant coaching position where he assisted with track and field, baseball, cheer, and women’s soccer. Then he moved into a graduate assistant role while working with tennis and cheer.

Starting in the Spring of 2022, Strobis also worked with professional track and field athletes who train at Kentucky. The group included Abby Steiner, Devynne Charlton, Masai Russell, Ronnie Baker, and Christian Coleman.

Prior to Kentucky, Strobis worked as a volunteer intern strength and conditioning coach at Washington State University, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Sport Science in 2019 while working with a variety of their Olympic sport teams.

While at Kentucky, Strobis earned a Masters of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology and obtained CMPC (Certified Mental Performance Consultant) certification.
