Razorbacks Sign ASUN Freshman of the Year Mark Stockdale

FAYETTEVILLE – Mark Stockdale, the 2024 Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year, has signed with the Arkansas men’s golf program, head coach Brad McMakin announced.

Stockdale, a Northampton, England native and transfer from UCA, was additionally voted second team All-ASUN as well as being named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team. He posted a 71.69 scoring average over 29 rounds which led the Bears and ranked fourth in the ASUN. He is the 17th-ranked amateur from England.

Stockdale won the UALR Everett Buick GMC Classic, tallying a 12-under-par 204 (71-66-67), to be selected as the ASUN Golfer of the Week. The win was the program’s first individual medalist since 2018 and he won by three strokes.

Overall, Stockdale had a team-best five top 10 finishes including the win, a T4th in his collegiate debut, a T9th in his second collegiate event and a pair of T7th finishes. The second T7th came at the ASUN Championship where he helped the Bears finish runner-up.
