Hogs Return to Barnhill for Sunday Match with Tigers
The No. 13 Razorbacks will begin a three-match return to Barnhill Arena on Sunday as the team hosts the Missouri Tigers for their fifth SEC contest of the season.
The Hogs are coming off a road sweep at LSU on Wednesday, while the Tigers last saw action against the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday evening at home and fell 3-1.
Arkansas has won 12 straight matches dating back to Sept. 1 and the Razorbacks are 14-2, the best record to this point of the season since 1998.
Sunday’s match is the first of a trio at home coming up for the Razorbacks as they also play at Barnhill on Friday, Oct. 13 against Ole Miss and Sunday, Oct. 15 against Alabama. Sunday’s match is set for 3 p.m. and will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
Scouting the Series: Missouri
- It’s the first season at the helm for head coach Dawn Sullivan at Missouri and the Tigers are 10-6 so far
- Arkansas has gotten just two wins in 10 tries against Missouri in Jason Watson’s tenure, and only one has come in Fayetteville
- Both Missouri and Arkansas are in the top five of the SEC in aces per set and digs per set, and Tigers libero Maya Sands leads the conference in digs per set at 4.60
