Keller and Gomez Alonso Compete in ITF 15K Hilton Head

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Carolina Gomez Alonso and Kelly Keller participated in the ITF 15K Hilton Head at Van der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club in Hilton Head, S.C. The tournament began on Monday with the qualifying draw.

In the qualifying draw, Kelly Keller fell to Kira Matushkina in the second round in three hard-fought sets. Carolina Gomez Alonso defeated Lauren Proctor in the first round of the main draw in three sets by scores of 6-4, 4-6 and 6-3. In the second round, she faced Sophia Biolay and dropped the match in straight sets.

In doubles, Keller and Gomez Alonso made the quarterfinals and clinched their spot by defeating Florentine Dekkers and Lexington Reed in the first round.

The pair squared off against Isabelle Boulais and Layne Sleeth in the quarterfinals but fell short 2-6 and 3-6 in straight sets.
