Arkansas catcher Michael Turner finished the week with two homers and seven RBI, leading the Razorback offense to a midweek win against Omaha as well as a series win against Southeastern. The graduate transfer from Kent State collected three hits, including a home run, and three RBI in the Razorbacks’ lopsided 15-3 win against Omaha on Wednesday. He then delivered a big performance in the Hogs’ doubleheader sweep of Southeastern over the weekend. He collected two hits, including a double and a homer, and three RBI in game one of the twin bill before driving in one and scoring three runs with a hit and two walks in game two.

Pitcher of the Week
RHP Jaxon Wiggins

Stats (1 GP/1 GS): 1-0, 1.42 ERA, 6.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 7 SO

Arkansas sophomore pitcher Jaxon Wiggins turned in his second consecutive quality start of the season, going a career-long 6 1/3 innings and striking out a career-high seven in the Hogs’ 11-1 win against Southeastern in game two of the doubleheader. He held the Lions to one run on two hits, combining with the Razorback bullpen for the team’s second three-hitter of the day.

Freshman of the Week
LHP Hagen Smith

Stats (1 GP/1 GS): 1-0, 2.57 ERA, 7.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 9 SO

Arkansas true freshman pitcher Hagen Smith delivered his second quality start of the year, striking out a career-high nine in a career-long seven innings in game one of the doubleheader against Southeastern. The left-hander limited the Lions to two runs on two hits in a combined three-hitter, helping Arkansas sweep the doubleheader and win the weekend series.
