No. 13 Razorback Soccer Chosen as Co-Favorite to Top SEC Regular Season Standings

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 13 Razorback Soccer was tabbed as a co-favorite to finish atop the regular season SEC standings for the third-straight season, the league announced on Tuesday morning. Arkansas was selected to win the conference title along with No. 9 Texas A&M after sharing the title last season, despite the Razorbacks winning the head-to-head matchup over the fifth-ranked Aggies on Oct. 4, 2-1.

Arkansas has put together a 15-2-1 record in SEC play over the past two seasons, the most victories by any conference team over the same span. It was also a program record for conference wins in back-to-back seasons. Over the last two years the Razorbacks have won SEC Forward of the Year (Anna Podojil – 2020), SEC Defender of the Year (Haley VanFossen – 2019), SEC Freshman of the Year (Anna Podojil – 2019), and Colby Hale has been named a two-time SEC Coach of the Year. The Razorbacks have also put seven on the All-SEC First Team.

The Razorbacks begin the 2021 season with a road trip to face No. 6 Duke and No. 3 North Carolina this week. Arkansas faces the Blue Devils on Thursday, Aug. 19 and the Tar Heels three days later.
