Reeder 3rd, Razorbacks 8th at Tiger Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala. – Tyson Reeder fired rounds of 67-69 Monday and is 8-under par to stand in third place at the Tiger Invitational by Jason Dufner, played at the par-72, 7,298-yard Grand National Lake Course. The No. 21 Arkansas Razorbacks are eighth with a 5-under-par total of 571.

Due to inclement weather in the forecast, rounds one and two of the event were played on Monday and the three, day, 54-hole event will conclude Tuesday.

Host and #16 Auburn leads with a 36-hole score of 556 (-20). Rounding out the top seven are #34 Alabama (559), #13 Georgia (562), #20 Tennessee (566), #14 Vanderbilt (566), South Carolina (567) and #24 LSU (568).

Reeder shot a season-low 67 in the first round and followed with a 69 for his best career opening two rounds. His only other career event where he shot rounds in the 60’s in rounds one and two was last month at the par-70 Gators Invitational. In round one, he was 3-under after eight holes. He dropped a shot on the par-3 17th but finished with birdies on three of his last six holes for his 5-under 67. He opened round two with a birdie but fell back to even with a bogey on the par-4 11th. He bounced back with an eagle on hole 12 and birdies on holes 14 and 15. He got to 5-under with a birdie on the par-4 1st hole but suffered bogeys on holes 2 and 6 to finish with a 3-under 69.

Julian Perico is tied for 18th. In the opening round, the junior carded three birdies and an eagle for a 3-under 69. He posted four birdies in round two but had four bogeys for his even par 72.

Segundo Oliva Pinto (27) and Mason Overstreet (26) tallied the third-best and fourth-best par total through 36 holes. Overstreet shot 74-71 for a 2-over 146 and is tied for 44th. Oliva Pinto shot 77-73 for a 150 to tie for 70. William Buhl is tied for 57th (76-72=148). Manuel Lozada, playing as an individual, is tied for 82nd (80-73=153).
