Arkansas to Face No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs on the Road

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas gymnastics team hits the road for the second time this season, heading east to Athens, Ga. for a Friday night match-up with the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs. Friday night’s meet will air live on the SEC Network starting at 7:30 p.m. CT with Bridget Sloan and Courtney Lyle on the call.

Arkansas posted the third-highest team score in program history in its 197.425 – 197.250 loss to the No. 1 Florida Gators in Barnhill Arena last Friday (Jan. 22). To date, the showdown with the Gators is the only meet in the nation this season where both programs finished with team totals of 197 or better.

Freshman Jordan Olszewski hit a season-high 9.850 on the vault while Amanda Elswick led the Hogs with a 9.875 in the anchor spot. As a team, the Gymbacks scored a 49.375 and 49.350 on the bars and beam respectively, both season-high totals. Redshirt-sophomore Bailey Lovett scored a season-best 9.925 on the floor for a share of the floor title with Florida’s Trinity Thomas as well.
