Arkansas Hosts No. 14 Texas A&M in Fall Finale

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas volleyball team looks to close out its shortened fall season on a high note this weekend as the Hogs are slated to host No. 14 Texas A&M on Friday and Saturday in Barnhill Arena.

Arkansas will look to bounce back after its four-match winning streak came to an end in Columbia, Mo last week as the Hogs dropped back-to-back matches to No.9 Mizzou. Arkansas fought through five sets in game one, but dropped the following meeting in three.

Freshman Taylor Head continues to be a consistent force for Arkansas, recording her fifth-straight double-double at Missouri on Wednesday (Nov. 4) while racking up a season-high 17 kills. Head currently ranks 40th in NCAA for kills per set, is fourth among Division I freshmen and is first among freshmen in the SEC. She is also 78th in NCAA for hitting percentage, ranking ninth among Division I freshmen and third among SEC freshmen.

Team NCAA D1 Rankings (Top 20 Only)

  • 7th in aces per set (1.72) SEC Leader
  • 20th in assists per set (11.92)
  • 18th in digs per set (15.52)

Arkansas trails the all-time series with Texas A&M (9-4) as the Aggies swept the series in 2019 and have won the last three meetings.
