#ProHogs In The NFL – Week 5 Report
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here’s a look at how the 12 former Arkansas football players active on NFL rosters fared this past weekend in Week 5 of the NFL season.
BEST OF WEEK 5
Deatrich Wise, Jr., DE, New England Patriots
Deatrich Wise, Jr.’s snaps have been sporadic over recent weeks for the New England Patriots, but he has continued to produce when called upon. On Sunday in the 33-7 victory over the Washington Redskins, Wise played just 18 snaps and notched two tackles and a quarterback hit, while also having a tackle for loss. It’s the fourth game he’s appeared in this year and has four tackles to his name along with four quarterback hits.
Jason Peters, OL, Philadelphia Eagles
Once again, Jason Peters played nearly every snap in Philadelphia’s 31-6 win over the New York Jets. It’s the Eagles’ third win of the year, second-straight, and vaulted them into a tie for first in the NFC Eastern Division. Peters has played in and started all five games for Philadelphia this year and is a major reason that the Eagles have been averaging more than 110 yards rushing per game.
Jarius Wright, WR, Carolina Panthers
Jarius Wright had a huge Week 4 performance last week and was rewarded in Week 5 against Jacksonville, playing 50 of the 65 offensive snaps. However, he only had one catch for six yards, but it was part of the drive that led to Carolina’s go-ahead touchdown in the first quarter. Wright now has 11 catches this year for 132 yards, but is still looking for his first touchdown reception of the year.
