Keeping our spirits up in Tier 4!

0 186

I am sure than many of you, like me, are finding the effective cancellation of Christmas quite a hard thing to come to terms with. However, I know that archery is good for both physical and mental health and despite all of the current gloom around the new Covid restrictions, it is still permitted for us all to shoot.

Not only can we shoot, as often as we like (after checking any relevant government travel guidance), we can also shoot competitively, albeit in a different way, and last Sunday, 6 members shot the AGB Winter Postal.

The round consisted of 3 dozen arrows shot over 50 metres at full size face for recurves and bare bows and 80cm face for compounds. It was a beautiful, sunny morning, and not a breath of wind, so almost perfect shooting conditions!

We plan to shoot this round once a month for the next 4 months, so why not come and join in? – there’s no pressure and you’ll be shooting with other members which is always nice!

If you don’t fancy that round, which not try a GAC Frostbite or Portsmouth or the AGB Winter 300? You can shoot one of them at any time and details are all in my post further down this page.
