Eastern Education Staff Job Opportunities
I am pleased to announce some exciting job opportunities in the Eastern region. Six of the seven coaching positions are open.
In addition to the coaching positions there are two new job opportunities in the Eastern Region.
Are you looking for a fulfilling new career where you can make a difference for our Eastern members and on a national scale? We are seeking a new Director of Education and Programs, as Don Haringa will be stepping down from this role in April of 2024. This is a full-time, year-round position starting as soon as possible. For the 23-24 season, this new employee will work with Don to learn and assist with operations. Assuming this new employee demonstrates the requisite skills and aptitude, they will take over the role in the spring of 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person!

The second new position is for a Nordic Assistant Cross-Country Coordinator. We are looking for someone with a passion for Cross-Country skiing and instruction to assist the Nordic Coordinator, with the goal of increasing participation in PSIA-AASI Eastern Cross-Country events.

Coaches Positions
PSIA-AASI Eastern Examiner Coaches and Team Coaches have terms that expire every 3-4 years. This year six of the seven terms are ending. To foster leadership development, employment opportunities, and transparency a new policy for the Eastern Region will be when a term ends, the job is posted to allow anyone to express interest. It is likely the current coaches will seek another term; however, if you have an interest in becoming a coach, I highly recommend you apply. Please note that beginning with this term, most coaching positions terms will be four years in duration.

Don Haringa has been a leader of our Education and Programs Department for more than 10 years, and a member of our education staff for more than 25 years. His dedication to, and in-depth knowledge of, our organization and its members has been a valuable contributor to our success.
