GUIDED BACKCOUNTRY SKIING

0 31

Private Guided Backcountry Skiing all levels on Donner Summit and the Tahoe Basin

We all love skiing at the resorts with high speed quads whisking us to the top of the mountain for quick runs. Time to get out in the backcountry! Enjoy being alone in the woods, earning your turns, and enjoying untracked skiing all day.

Learning Targets: how to use your ski equipment, terrain choice, skinning, kick-turns, setting a track, basic mountain navigation/route-finding, how to use your beacon, basic snow study, and of course do some great skiing in together.  Before you go out, you should have the skills and safety know-how or you could be endangering yourself and others. NASTC’s certified guides will teach you the skills you need. And if you are an experienced backcountry skiers, we’ll take you on a great tour with epic down skiing.
