EXTRA Gisin wins gold for Switzerland ahead of Shiffrin in combined
Pyeongchang, South Korea (dpa) - Michelle Gisin of Switzerland claims the gold medal ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States in the women‘s alpine skiing combined.Switzerland‘s combined world champion Wendy Holdener took bronze while Lindsey Vonn of the United States, who led the downhill section, skied out after missing a gate in the slalom.Gisin‘s win follows Sochi gold in the downhill by older sister Dominique, who shared victory with Tina Maze of Slovenia four years ago.Shiffrin has a second medal in Pyeongchang after winning gold in the giant slalom.
