LEXINGTON — Jerry Moton is cagey. He knew the only way he could get his guys to buy into playing defense in Friday’s 47th News Journal All-Star Basketball Classic was by encouraging them to break the record for most points scored by a team. How do you that? One way is by taking the ball away. Moton’s South stars had nine steals, five by Mansfield Senior’s DJ Corbin. Another way is by pounding the glass and creating more scoring opportunities. The South had nine more defensive rebounds than the North.
