Former Bulldog Larson goes from Huskies to Golden Gophers
MINNEAPOLIS — There were some basic reasons why University of Minnesota Athletic Director Mark Coyle felt Brett Larson was the right choice to be the Golden Gophers' next head men's hockey coach. Larson, a Duluth native who played for the Denfeld Hunters and UMD Bulldogs, was introduced as Minnesota's new head coach during a press conference on Tuesday at Athletes Village on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
