That sent the Hawkeyes home before the Sweet 16 for a second straight season. But the real loser is everyone who had to play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday. The venue in Iowa City that hosted the NCAA tournament pod isn’t equipped with air conditioning. The arena was built in the 80s, and is largely situated underground, so that’s typically not an issue during basketball season.
