After opening Mojave River League with a win, the Burroughs boys’ and girls’ track and field teams hosted Hesperia looking to get closer to having the boys compete for the league championship, and the girls be in position to win the program’s first three-peat. Despite the heat, Burroughs went on to sweep Hesperia to secure its second MRL win with three – two road, one home – league duals left in the schedule.
