The Forbes 2026 World's Billionaires list, released March 10, marks the 40th annual ranking — and the largest ever. A record 3,428 billionaires made the list this year, with Elon Musk topping the ranking for the second year in a row as the world’s richest person. According to Forbes, there are more billionaires in the world than ever before. The 2026 list includes about 400 more “entrepreneurs, investors and heirs” than a year ago, and together they’re worth a record $20.1 trillion, up $4 trillion from 2025.
