2 Vail-area skiers make ‘The Cut,’ advance to Freeride World Tour Finals

A pair of Vail locals officially advanced to the Freeride World Tour Finals over the weekend. Agostina Vietti and Joey Leonardo will join 29 other athletes, including six Americans, at the final two events of the season in Haines, Alaska and Verbier, Switzerland after making ‘The Cut.’ “Making ‘The Cut’ was a goal of mine,” said Vietti, who represents Argentina and is a coach at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. Vietti finished fourth at the season opener in Spain at the beginning of January.
