Pillars of Weymouth High wrestling target a finale on the podium

Winners celebrate at MIAA Div. 2 wrestling South Sectionals Several South Shore high school wrestlers were awarded Division 2 South Sectional titles at Whitman-Hanson on Saturday, Feb. 14. Kevin Mackin and Jake Thompson are routinely found perched atop the winner's podium. But it wasn't always as easy as it looks today. When they first enrolled in the Weymouth High wrestling program as eighth graders, the team rostered eight grapplers and stamped just one dual-meet victory the entire season.
