The Killingly wrestling team’s bid for a third straight Eastern Connecticut Conference championship came up short on Saturday before a huge crowd at Killingly High School. Ledyard outlasted the runner-up Trailblazers, 228 to 208.5, to win the ECC title. Waterford finished third with 205.5 points. “It’s always nice to win but Ledyard wrestled super. They deserve it,” Killingly head coach Rich Bowen said. “It’s a battle every year. We didn’t have quite enough depth this year. We’ve been battling that all year.
