The Victor Valley boys basketball team took a 42-37 lead into halftime and went on a tear in the third quarter in the second round of the Division 8 playoffs on Friday, Feb. 13. The Jackrabbits punched a ticket to the quarterfinals with an emphatic 88-54 victory over Trinity Classical Academy. Victor Valley trailed 20-19 after the first quarter. But Aiden Tanks went on a tear in the second quarter, scoring 11 points, including draining three 3-pointers. The Jackrabbits sealed the deal in the third quarter, outsourcing the Knights 29-7.
