The 2026 IHSA girls basketball postseason begins across the state Saturday, Feb. 14. Several Peoria-area teams have the opportunity to hoist regional plaques, while a few will play for sectional championships and beyond. But before the postseason arrives, there's still conference championships and bragging rights to be decided. And of course, coaching plays a major role in all these milestones. So, that begs the question: which coaches have done the best job and are the frontrunners to be named the coaches of the year?
