In each of the last three seasons, Western Reserve Conference rivals Riverside and Mayfield have split their season series. After falling at Riverside, 69-60, on Jan. 13, Mayfield was hoping the pattern would continue into this season. In an effort that Coach David Krasnow called their “best game of the season,” the Wildcats never trailed in evening the score with the Beavers, 72-54, in the rematch at Mayfield on Feb. 3.
