Of course, it was easy. Assigning a name to a year in sports after it’s over is like placing a bet on the upcoming race with the winning ticket in hand. But naming the next year before it happens? Now, that’s a cool trick! Before we fully move on to 2026, let’s label the year gone by. Here are a few candidates. The Year of the Hoosier? Indiana University rolled through college football in dominant style. The Pacers came within an Achilles injury of shocking the basketball world. And my wife’s a Hoosier!
