Mount Anthony senior Ella Palisano will attempt to retain her high jump title at next month's New England high school indoor track and field championship meet. Palisano and all athletes who qualified at the Vermont state championships on Jan. 10 have about six weeks to prepare and train for New Englands. But why such a long gap between the Vermont state meet and the regional championship? The Vermont Principals' Association received limited availability from the University of Vermont, site host of the state meet since 2020.
