The 2025 high school football season was a year that won't be forgotten in the Greater Savannah area as two local teams reached the GHSA state finals, while Bethesda Academy won a SCISA state crown. Benedictine played a rugged schedule that included a game against Buford, which closed out the year undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Cadets won 11 in a row under head coach Danny Britt after losing their first two against Colquitt County and Buford as Benedictine advanced to the Class 4A state finals, where they were edged by Creekside 42-39 in the finals.
