The Browns’ search for their next head coach continued to ramp up Jan. 20 when they interviewed Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken — this time in person. According to NFL bylaws, all interviews of candidates before Jan. 19 had to be done virtually, via Zoom or another platform, with the exception of coaches out of work or those already on that team’s staff. For example, the Browns interviewed defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees in person Jan. 8, three days after Kevin Stefanski was fired as head coach, because they were on Stefanski’s staff.
