Bears, Eels and Panthers set for epic group clash at Nines in Paradise

A record 20 teams are competing in the 10th Cook Islands Rugby League Nines in Paradise 2026, kicking off at midday today at the National Stadium in Nikao. Seven overseas clubs and one from Aitutaki will join Rarotonga-based teams to battle for top honours in the open men’s, women’s and under-18 men’s categories during the three-day tournament. The open men’s division features 12 clubs across two pools, while the women’s and U18 men’s categories have four teams each.
