We are nearing the halfway point of the season, which is a perfect time to roll out an updated NBA power rankings. There's still a lot that can change in half a year. Last January, the Grizzlies were the third-best team in the West, the Timberwolves and Pacers were struggling to stay in the playoff picture, and the Cavs looked like the team to beat in the East. But the Thunder were also separating themselves from the rest of the pack out West, proving their mettle as a championship contender. The Thunder are still the best team in the league this season, but the gap is closing. Plenty has shifted since the last time we did this exercise.
