John Robertson was a genius, a one-off and I am so sad my friend has gone

If you ask every other Nottingham Forest player who was the greatest to ever pull on the red jersey, everyone will say it was John. He was a genius on the pitch, a total one-off and a joy to play with. Some of the pitches we used to play on were atrocious but he just glided across the surface. We beat that great Liverpool side in that European Cup run [the 1978/79 season] and it was later said by a few of them that Robbo was the only Forest player that would get in their team.
