There was a point in the fourth quarter on Thursday at U.S. Bank Stadium that Minnesota’s offense, including penalties to the good and bad, had moved the ball a total of 70 yards over the course of the contest. Yet the Vikings led 13-10 at that juncture. That shouldn’t be possible, but it was reality due to a dominant Vikings defense that flustered one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses all afternoon.
