AREA ROUNDUP: Clarkston boys hoops eke out a victory over Moscow
The Clarkston Bantams boys basketball team narrowly won 57-55 over the Moscow Bears in a nonleague matchup on Monday at Clarkston High School. Moscow held the lead for the majority of the game, leading by five points at halftime and by 10 at the end of the third quarter. However, the Bantams exploded to a 20-point fourth quarter and held the Bears to just eight points to clinch a close win. Dray Torpey led the Bantams with 20 points. He hit three 3-pointers and was 7-of-10 from the free-throw line. Kendry Gimlin also nailed three 3s and finished the game with 12 points for Clarkston (2-1).
