Mayo 8, Osseo 4 ROCHESTER — Ten players recorded at least a point and Colton Brandt made 25 saves in his first varsity start as Rochester Mayo doubled up Osseo 8-4 in the Spartans’ season opener at Graham Arena on Saturday. The Spartans (1-0-0 overall) led 3-2 after one period and 6-4 after two. Brandt made four saves in the first period, 10 in the second and 11 in the third. Mayo’s balanced offense was led by senior Joseph Villarama, who scored one goal and assisted on two others. Oliver Bertsch also had a three-point game, with two goals and an assist. Finn Morrey and Ethan Daniels also scored twice in the win. Mayo is back in action Tuesday when it hosts Farmington at 7 p.m....
