GRAND FORKS — UND freshman defenseman Sam Laurila has two assists in his last three games. The Moorhead product played his two highest minute totals last weekend in a series against Minnesota Duluth. The Fighting Hawks took four of six National Collegiate Hockey Conference points. Laurila, a fifth-round draft pick of the New York Islanders, spoke to the Herald this week about the start of his college career and shared some off-the-ice favorites. Q.
