The Nebraska Legislature is in a race against the sports betting lobby
				Earlier this month, the NCAA's Division I, II and III rulemaking bodies approved a change to allow student athletes and athletics department staff to bet on professional sports. This monumental shift was set to go into effect on Nov. 1. However, following pushback across the country, including from SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, the change has been delayed until Nov. 22. As part of a recissions process, if two-thirds of Division I schools submit letters against the rule change by that deadline, it will not go into effect for DI programs.
