Michigan on the doorstep of No. 1 ranking, by slimmest of margin

Michigan could not be any closer to its first No. 1 ranking in 13 years. The Wolverines remained No. 2 in Monday’s AP Top 25 Poll, a single point behind top-ranked Arizona. The Wildcats received 32 first-place votes and 1,494 total points; Michigan grabbed the other 29 first-place votes and ended up with 1,493 points.
