Mexico City Is Ready For UFC 268

Next Saturday, February 28th, UFC will be in Mexico City for the eighth time in its history with UFC Fight Night 268, headlined by the flyweight bout between former Mexican champion Brandon Moreno and Lone’er Kavanagh. Kavanagh is replacing Asu Almabayev, who recently suffered a hand injury and had to withdraw from the event.
The UFC first came to Mexico on November 15, 2014, with UFC 180.
Brandon Moreno arrives at Arena Ciudad de Mexico after a loss and is looking for a championship opportunity in a division with strong contenders such as Joshua Van, Brandon Royval, Kyoji Horiguchi, Tatsuro Taira, Manel Kape, and Alexandre Pantoja, among others.
UFC Night 268 features exciting and attractive fights between Latin American fighters looking to establish themselves as contenders in their divisions.
The co-main event will pit former bantamweight title challenger Marlon Vera of Ecuador against Mexican prospect David Martinez.
Mexican rookie Daniel Zellhuber faces veteran King Green at lightweight, while experienced Mexican Edgar Chairez takes on the well-known Brazilian Felipe Bunes at flyweight.
Peruvian Kevin Borja faces Mexican debutant Imanol Rodriguez at flyweight, while undefeated Mexican Santiago Luna vs Angel Pacheco at featherweight.
