"Super": Aaron Ramsdale sends message to Arsenal star with four recoveries vs Everton
Arsenal continued their winning run in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners had to toil hard for the victory against the Merseyside outfit. The club had vast possession but struggled to register regular shots on target until the closing stages of the game.
Max Dowman made a massive difference coming off the bench in the 74th minute. The youngster had a passing accuracy of 92 percent, winning four duels and making four recoveries.
He also completed a couple of dribbles and turned the match with a tremendous cross for Piero Hincapie. The Ecuadorian ace subsequently assisted Viktor Gyokeres’ 89th-minute tap-in.
Dowman went on to create history by becoming the youngest ever to score in the Premier League.
Gyokeres’ initial clearance from a corner fell into the path of Gabriel Martinelli, who provided the assist for Dowman. The 16-year-old ran the length of the pitch to score after beating two Everton players.
Jordan Pickford went up for Everton’s last-minute corner, which left Dowman with an open goal to find.
Shortly after the 2-0 win, Dowman took to Instagram to express his delight.
He posted: “A night I’ll never forget”.
There were several replies from current and former players. Newcastle United goalkeeper and Gunners favourite Aaron Ramsdale was among those. He commented: ‘Super max’.

Dowman is undoubtedly one of the best young talents in the Premier League. He had a promising start to the season with the Gunners before an untimely ankle injury in December.
The youngster only returned to training in February, but has made a big impression. He was the best player on the pitch during the 2-1 win over Mansfield Town in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Gunners graduate bettered that performance against the Toffees in a high-pressure situation, showing why he has the credentials to become an elite player in the long run.
Dowman could be an X-factor for Arsenal as they aim to end the season with plenty of silverware.
