Keane makes prediction for Arsenal vs Crystal Palace, Wright & Neville instantly disagree
Arsenal return to Premier League action against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners are on a six-match winning streak and will be aiming to extend the run in the London derby.
Ahead of the game, Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville made their predictions on the Stick to Football Podcast.
Neville backed the Gunners to pick up a 2-0 win with a goal in either half.
Keane, on the other hand, tipped Arsenal to win, but fancied Palace to find the back of the net.
He said: “3-1 Arsenal. Palace will get a goal”.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright and Neville instantly disagreed with Keane’s prediction and believe the Gunners will pick up their fifth straight clean sheet.
Wright replied: “I don’t think Palace will score.”
Neville followed up, saying: “Palace are not scoring. Arsenal have only conceded three goals all season. Just something their defence is the whole team.”
Arsenal had a mixed start to the league season with only 10 points from five games, but they turned the corner in the away trip to Newcastle United.
The Gunners scored two late goals to secure a 2-1 victory, and have since beaten West Ham United and Fulham, either side of the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s side dropped eight costly points in those three fixtures last season. The onus is now on delivering another strong display on Sunday.
Palace came twice from behind to secure a point at the Emirates earlier this year. Arsenal have the opportunity to avenge that result with a win.
They have been handed an early advantage, having played against Atletico Madrid in the third matchday of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Palace, meanwhile, played AEK Larnaca in the Conference League earlier tonight, and they will need to recoup quickly before Sunday’s derby test.
Arteta is poised to make two changes to the starting XI. We should see Riccardo Calafiori and Leandro Trossard replacing Myles Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Martinelli respectively.
