Arsenal lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur today in Hong Kong in the first ever North London derby played outside the United Kingdom, and Richarlison has taken to social media platform Instagram to mock Gabriel Magalhaes.

Spurs were awarded The Herbalgy Trophy for winning the Hong Kong Football Festival at the expense of the Gunners, and the Tottenham forward was given the man of the match award.

Richarlison quickly tagged Gabriel in his post on Instagram, but the Arsenal defender was having none of it, replying by posting a picture of his three MOTM awards which came against Spurs.

The Brazilian centre-back was unavailable to play the game due to a knock, and he will be hoping to return very soon as the new Premier League campaign approaches.

The Gunners are done with their pre-season tour of Asia and will now return to London to face Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao at Emirates Stadium for their final friendly matches ahead of the 2025-26 season.

A trip to Old Trafford on August 17 to face Manchester United in their opening game of the new Premier League season follows afterwards, and having Gabriel available will come in handy.

Arsenal are well-stocked at the back should the 27-year-old miss such a crucial game, with Jakub Kiwior and summer signing Cristhian Mosquera available to partner William Saliba at centre-back.

The Spaniard was thrown into action today for his unofficial debut, featuring for 14 minutes and he will fancy his chances of playing regularly despite the fierce competition for minutes at the club.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta signed Mosquera to provide quality cover for his current options in the position, and it could prove to be a very smart decision given the recent fitness struggles of the Brazilian.

The Gunners need quality squad depth across all positions if they want to win major silverware next season and going forward, and they are looking to still add to their attack despite signing Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.
