€90 million attacker's dream revealed: A future only in Arsenal's red & white despite offers

0 0

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has made it clear he wants a move to the Premier League if he leaves Spain this summer — and Arsenal are his first choice.

According to @HandofArsenal, intermediaries representing Saudi Arabian clubs were firmly told that the Brazilian’s “absolute priority” is joining Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, should an agreement with Madrid be reached.

Despite interest from Saudi sides willing to pay significant sums, the 24-year-old is focused on remaining in Europe.

Sources close to the player say the Premier League has always been his preferred next step, with Arsenal standing out due to Arsenal’s project, Arteta’s trust in young talent, and a well-defined attacking structure.

Rodrygo is currently contracted to Real Madrid until 2028, but his future is under increasing scrutiny.

After a reduced role at the Club World Cup and Madrid’s crowded front line featuring Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Jude Bellingham, regular starts next season are far from guaranteed.

Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso is expected to hold talks with Rodrygo after the tournament to clarify his place in the squad. If assurances are not forthcoming, the winger is open to leaving.

Arsenal’s view is that Rodrygo is a marquee signing who can operate across the front line, though his best work has come from the left — a position already held by Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

That dynamic could change. Internally, Arsenal value Rodrygo’s technical execution, decision-making, and end product. He finished last season with 14 goals and nine assists across all competitions, despite inconsistent starts under Carlo Ancelotti.

Any transfer would demand a significant fee. Madrid are reportedly open to offers in the region of €90 million, and Arsenal believe a long-term payment structure could be the key to unlocking the deal.

Saudi bids might exceed that valuation, but Rodrygo’s personal preference gives Arsenal leverage.

With Nico Williams now off the table, Rodrygo is emerging as one of Arsenal’s top offensive priorities, alongside other targets like Eberechi Eze.

The Gunners are expected to move decisively in August — but with the player fully focused on the Premier League and the Emirates his chosen destination, the groundwork has already been laid.
