Arsenal's summer plans thrown into chaos by shock departure

0 7

Thomas Partey is reportedly on his way out of Arsenal after four seasons at the club, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners had been in talks with the Ghana international about a possible contract extension, but no agreement has been reached.

He joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020. He has played a key role, bringing control and stability to Arsenal’s midfield.

Injury setbacks have limited his availability during his career at Arsenal. Despite this, the club attempted to explore keeping him, but talks have reached an impasse.

Arsenal are already working on replacements

Arsenal are keen to rebuild their midfield and ensure they are ready for the new season.

Brentford’s Christian Norgaard has been linked with the club. The Danish international has impressed under Thomas Frank and could be a strong addition to the squad.

Arsenal are also keeping a close watch on Lucien Agoume. The young midfielder, who is currently with Sevilla, is another option under serious consideration.

The Gunners are close to securing a deal for Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. The Spaniard has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and looks set to join soon.

Replacing Partey will be crucial if Arsenal are to continue improving. They need a reliable and strong presence in midfield, especially with Champions League football in the mix.

Arsenal fans will now wait to see who arrives as Partey prepares to leave the club.
