Arsenal Women set to land experienced WSL star in their first step towards reclaiming domestic crown

Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Liverpool vice-captain Taylor Hinds on a free transfer, according to the Guardian.

The 26-year-old defender will officially join the Gunners when her current contract ends at the end of June.

Hinds has turned down a new deal from Liverpool to join the Women’s Champions League winners.

She is joining a side aiming to build on their European success and push for the Women’s Super League title next season.

Arsenal finished second in the league last season and are determined to end Chelsea’s long-standing dominance.

The left-back began her football journey at Arsenal’s youth academy before leaving to join Everton in 2018. She signed for Liverpool two years later.

Hinds played a major role in helping Liverpool win promotion to the top flight in 2022.

Despite Liverpool’s efforts to keep her, Hinds has been unable to resist the lure of playing in the Women’s Champions League.

The Merseyside club respects her decision and appreciates her contribution over the years.

Arsenal are acquiring an experienced player who offers great flexibility in defence.

Although she is a natural left-back, Hinds can also fill in at right-back or right wing-back when needed.

This signing gives Arsenal more options at full-back as they prepare for a busy season across all competitions.

The Gunners have also shown interest in Liverpool’s Olivia Smith, but there has been no progress on that front.
