Highly rated Arsenal wonderkids named in England U17 squad for Euros
Arsenal duo Max Dowman and Jack Porter have been called up to the England squad for the European U17 Championship in Albania.
Max Dowman has been one of the standout performers at youth level this season, scoring 15 goals in 15 matches for Arsenal’s Under-18 side.
His goalscoring form has attracted attention from top clubs across the Premier League. He has also impressed the Arsenal coaching staff with his performances.
Dowman will likely join the senior squad during the club’s pre-season this summer. His progress has not gone unnoticed by the club..
Jack Porter breaks into the spotlight
Porte has also been called up after making a name for himself in recent months.
The goalkeeper became Arsenal’s youngest-ever player to start a first-team match in the 5-1 win over Bolton in the League Cup in September 2024.
Porter was only 16 years old when he made his debut. The performance has added to the growing excitement around his future.
Dowman and Porter will be important players for England at the tournament. The Three Lions begin their group stage campaign against Belgium on May 20.
They will later face Italy and Czechia in their remaining group games. The team will be hoping to go all the way at the tournament.
