Arsenal could move for £136k per week Inter Milan star, can be signed for £12m

Arsenal have been credited with an interest in signing Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to Inter Live.

The Gunners are preparing for a busy summer transfer window. They could likely recruit more than one midfielder.

Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi has been heavily linked with the club. The Spaniard is poised to join this summer.

Arsenal could sign another midfielder alongside him, considering Thomas Partey and Jorginho are anticipated to leave.

Partey and Jorginho are contracted until June 30. As things stand, Arsenal have no plans to negotiate new deals with either player.

Inter Live now report that the Gunners have had an interest in Zielinski in the past and London could be his next home.

Arsenal could be enticed to return for the Poland international due to the £12 million price tag.

The Nerazzurri signed the 30-year-old on a free transfer from Napoli last year. £12m would represent a capital gain for the Serie A champions.

Arsenal seem prepared to part ways with Jorginho and Partey this summer.

Zubimendi would be a solid acquisition for the defensive midfield department. He likes to win aerial duels and has impressed with his ball control.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is another option for manager Mikel Arteta. He has excelled from left-back but was primarily a number six in the academy.

Hence, the focus could be on landing a central midfielder to add more depth to the squad.

Zielinski has had a rotational role for the Nerazzurri. Arsenal could be tempted to sign him if he is prepared to accept a similar position next term.

The 30-year-old has managed five goal contributions this season. He has shared his minutes in the central and defensive midfield roles for the Milan giants.

The Pole has completed 92 percent of his passes, with almost 60 percent of duels won.

Zielinski can be a good backup midfielder without a huge outlay. He earns £136,000 per week at Inter. His wages should not prove a stumbling block for Arsenal.
