European Aquatics’ week-long Water Polo Development Camp in Kranevo, Bulgaria, which was hailed as a huge success in 2025, is returning in 2026 and is open to all up-and-coming young players, coaches and referees.

The second camp takes place from June 24-30, 2026, and will see all participants – junior boys and girls aged U12 and U14 – enjoy specialised training at the city’s state-of-the-art facilities under the expert guidance of a team of world-class coaches and referees.

‘The 2025 Development Camp was an excellent experience for everyone involved – the players, the coaches and the referees,’ stated European Aquatics’ Water Polo Director, Renato Zivkovic.

‘All the participants returned home with better knowledge and the ability to develop the sport further in their countries with their clubs and federations.

‘The 2026 edition promises to be even bigger, better and even more inspiring.’

You can watch a collection of the highlights from the 2025 Development Camp – which included mini-tournaments and fun team building sessions – below.

The camp’s main aim is to accelerate the development of water polo in emerging nations through engaging and interactive sessions in and out of the pool.

Over an intensive six-day programme, the young athletes will benefit from high-level training during match situations, including a mini tournament, while coaches and referees will take part in targeted sessions designed to support long-term growth of water polo back home.

The stunning Hotel Aqualif in Kranevo provides the perfect conditions for the camp, with its comfortable accommodation and professional-standard training facilities, including two outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The total cost per participant (players, coaches, officials) is €900, which includes accommodation, airport transfers and training by world-renowned water polo educators.

Efforts have been made to keep the cost as low as possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality, ensuring a productive and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Team managers and parent/guardian cost is €600 per person.

This is a unique opportunity to elevate the quality of water polo within federations or clubs.

With limited spots available, we encourage all interested parties to register promptly.
