2025 Water Polo Super Cup Men – bulletin available

The official information bulletin for the 2025 European Aquatics Water Polo Super Cup Men is now available for the hugely-anticipated clash set to take place in Budapest, Hungary, on Wednesday, 8th October. A link to the document can be found at the end of this article.

Last season’s Champions League winners, FTC-Telekom, will host the event at their famous Császár-Komjádi Swimming Pool, where they are set to face Euro Cup victors Pro Recco.

The two giants also recently met twice during their American summer tour, with the series ending 1-1. FTC won the first contest after a penalty shootout was needed to separate the two teams, while Recco edged the second encounter 16-15.

FTC-Telekom have claimed back-to-back Champions League titles in the past two seasons, dropping just two matches in total during their triumphant runs – one in each season – out of 90 games played across all competitions.

Recco, meanwhile, stepped down to the Euro Cup last year after their much-publicised financial troubles, but the move proved to be fruitful one, as they went on to lift the only trophy that was missing from their glittering collection.

The Super Cup final is steeped in history, and this year’s edition will feature a showdown between the tournament’s two most decorated clubs.

Recco sit at the top with nine titles, while FTC-Telekom trail just behind with five.

Remarkably, both sides have each lost only once in a Super Cup final – a record that is guaranteed to change on October 8th.
